As you may understand, I'm not a very interested in neat graphic pages, please accept
my apologies for that.
Still alive
Fileacl is a unique NTFS permissions management tool:
-
It’s command-line
-
It’s fast, using native APIs (400 GB of 50K files in 10K folders gets usually handled
in less than half an hour)
-
You can set any kind of permissions you want
-
Works with any version of NT from NT 4.0 to Windows Server 2003
Fileacl is still evolving, check it out here
-
v2.8 is old (no unicode support, 512 file path maximum) but still has its fans,
most evolved version is 2.8.0.6
-
v2.9 was the first with COM support and its latest version 2.9.0.7 should have
most of its bugs corrected ( and is unicode)
-
v3.0 is the new version with 5 times as fast while reading and with a bunch of new
options while maintaining complete NT4.0 compatibility.
Old but (may be) still useful
